Min’s story

Several years ago, while five months pregnant, I was made redundant.

It was a moment that stayed with me, not only because of the uncertainty it created, but because it revealed how easily experience and potential can be overlooked when circumstances change. Overnight, I found myself on the other side of the table, navigating the job market as a candidate rather than a decision-maker.

That experience reshaped how I think about leadership and hiring.

Over twenty years, I’ve worked across global financial markets, electronic trading, recruitment, and digital assets, as a sales trader, a commercial leader, and an executive search advisor. I’ve also built teams myself and felt the frustration of critical roles left unfilled, or the quiet cost of a mis-hire.

What has always mattered most to me is the long view.

Seeing candidates grow through successive promotions and witnessing how the right leadership hire can transform a business, has been consistently rewarding. It reinforced a simple truth: hiring decisions compound over time.

I started Min Cao Advisory from that conviction.

Today, I partner closely with founders and leadership teams operating across traditional finance and digital assets, often in highly technical, regulated, and fast-moving environments. My role is to bridge industry expertise with exceptional, often overlooked talent, helping leaders make decisions that endure.

As a founder and a mother of two, I bring a long-term perspective to everything I do. Judgment, resilience, discretion, and integrity are not just professional principles, they are personal ones.
